DESCRIPTION

Photographed and used in the film Squares (1934), made in Berlin, and shot in the new Gaspar Color process which Fischinger helped develop. The Squares are some of Fischinger's only painted artworks made in Germany; he did not begin oil painting until moving to Los Angeles in 1936.
